Hi guys,
Ran Ubuntu 12.10 for a few years with xbmc 13.2 without issue. But craving some newer software (and challenges) eventually led me to update to 14.04. Surprisingly I got it working and updated to kodi 15 in the process. However now kodi is crashing constantly, possibly related to libsmb or samba (I am using samba shares on the same machine). It seems to do this on a clean ~/.kodi as well when readding a media source.
I get some freed frame / talloc errors shown on console when it crashes.

Kodi debug log doesn't seem to show any real errors that I can see but here it is.

System info:
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty
$ uname -a
Linux filebox 3.13.0-61-generic #100-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 29 11:22:15 UTC 2015 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux
Maybe I just need to do a clean reinstall? Would prefer not to since i have a good plethora of other stuff running on the box.
