v14 WIN: Seeking in Timeshift is corrupt
#1
Hello Forum and Devs.

I want to refer to a thread which I posted on the DVBLink forums as well: ( http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=29873 )

Dont know if this is an issue with KODI or the AddOn. I'm not really able to use the time shift buffer. If I try to fast forward my unpaused live TV the progressbar of the OSD began jumping and I'm not able to reach the end of the buffer to get back to realtime. Most of the time I had to stop the channel and retune it again.

I have similar timeshift issues with the combination DVBlink and Kodi Helix.
I solved this with the step backward and step forward configuration in the advanced settings. When you don't fast forward or rewind, the problem does not occur that often.

I hope this is solved in Isengard.

Unfortunately, this problem is not solved in Isengard.

I have now tried Jarvis Aplha2. Still the same problem. Fast forward and skip back both jump randomly through the time shift buffer. When I resume playing, I am still at the point where I began.

It see that DVBLogic team does not take care of this problem. They said, that this is an issue of KODI. The dedicated ticket does not show any response by the KODI Team yet.

Same for me, its probably the only thing I miss about Windows Media Centre now. You could start watching a recording show and easily skip through adverts etc

I also have this problem with the pvr.vbox addon. I'm running on ubuntu 14.04 with the very latest Jarvis nightly development build. If I fast-forward a PVR recording faster than the buffer can handle then kodi freezes up and the only thing I can do is stop the recording. I've also posted details on the pvr.vbox forum here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=241919
