Not sure if this is the right forum as I think it is more general rather than Windows related. But there does not seem to be a general forum anymore.

Subtitles seem to be on by default. I need to turn them of in viewing each video. Is there anyway to turn them off by default? I see nothing to disable them in the Subtitle setup.

Open any video that has audio playing.
Bring up the on-screen-display and select the audio options.
Turn off Enable Subtitles
Back in the OSD audio settings, scroll down and select Set as default for all videos.

In version 16.0 there's an option in settings to turn it off by default
