Does anyone know what's causing this problem? It happens on 15.2 rc and spmc 14x.
I've seen it on rooted Beelink M7b with latest firmware that's been tweaked thro Init-d so that permissions for amcodec is OK. It's android 4.4.so I've run the playstore app SD Card Fix. Also on my rooted HUDL 2 but I don't expect anyone to know much about that.
I find that I can transfer a folder by copy or move to a SMB share if it (the folder) contains music or images but not anything that's video. The folder is created but the file transfer fails for video transfers. Moves in the other direction work. Transfering files rather than the folders they are contained in also fails on the same basis.
