HI Ryan,
Thanks for putting together the package.
I've never been able to get the osmc packge to run. These are the error's in the log.

Only the Ubuntu package works for me - that's where I have observed the video files vanishing.

Hey - I was trying this on osx el captain, with 17.1 and it is crashing kodi - not sure if it works with that yet.

I have the same problem with video vanishing after recording. I am using this https://github.com/rkubera/pvr.iptvsimpl...inple-osmc version on my Kodi 17.1 on Raspberry Pi 3. Can this work also on pure Kodi or just on OSMC? And how to configure parameters in settings for this to work?

Don't bother with trying to make it reality. It doesn't work, already spend so much time investigating and debugging on all platforms.

I downloaded from here https://github.com/rkubera/pvr.iptvsimple/releases amd64 rls and it works great in libreelec x64. only the pause future does not work, but recording works fine (Y)

This doesn't work on Raspberry PI with Kodi installed on Raspbian.

Hi, i managed to install the package on (Librelec kodi 17.4 raspberry pi 3) and after filling in the recording path + ffmpeg and rtmdump path i manage to record something.
I found the recording file in the path i have selected but it cannot be opened to view in Kodi or VLC...
Is there still another setting to be changed or is this addon simply not working?

I m exactly in the same situation.

The recording is there (format .flv as default) but I cannot play.

Did u find a solution?

This is how it is working for me at the moment:

- Raspberry Pi 3 with latest OSMC version
- Updated and Installed rtmpdump:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rtmpdump libav-tools

- Copied over the existing pvr.iptvsimple the version pvr.iptvsimple.osmc-test
- Settings of the add ons:
store folder:... as you like it
file extension: fly
path rtmpdump: /usr/bin/rtmpdump
path ffmpeg: /usr/bin/avcon
recompress..: -ar 44100 -vcodec copy
rest as default

the "-vcodec copy" will leave the file as it is from the source at least on the video side, w/o any compression

What works for me:
Recording
Add timer from Timers tab

What does not work:
Pausing/Time Shifting
Add timer from EPG
The Recordings are not linked to the Recording Tab of the Live TV

I'm on Arch linux (amd64 htpc machine).
I'm saving IPTV stream with ffmpeg like this:

ffmpeg -i http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/stream.m3u8 -c copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc outfile.mp4

It copies everything without touching.

In this customised addon I left everything on default values.. tried also the same setup as @sasagr above mentioned. Tried -c:v copy, -c copy, -vcodec copy. Tried also with/without -ar parameter (streams are in 48kHz). Recorded file is groving up but right after hitting stop button it's deleted. Here's the log from kodi

No matter what I do, it still deletes the file. @rkubera any advice? Should I compile the addon ?
Please note I have ffmpeg installed and supports libx264, tried mpeg2, mjepeg etc.. without any luck.
