Hello all.

I am investigating using KODI as a media server for my family. Is it possible for me to create a user account for my kids that they log in with and they can only view the content that is age appropriate? below <PG10 Adventure Family etc etc....

Then stream the content form a notebook/tablet to chromecast (bigger older TV)

I have just downloaded PLEX, set it up nicely only to find out i need to pay to have this functionality...

Yes and no.
Yes to the first part, no to the chromecast (AFAIK).
You'd need a machine running kodi connected to the tv.
