Linux OpenELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17)
So what's the deal? Do you hear anything wrong?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

And which skins are supported? Your ftv?

Only Confluence that I know of as ronie updates inline with the skin engine changes. I haven't had chance to catch up myself yet. Wink

You most likely run at 60 hz and that's the delay between Video Player and Render, which is 1 frame (1000 / 60) ~ 17 ms (0,017 seconds).

The bitrate of audio is also 0.00Kb (same on RPi) but I assume this will be fixed in due course - it's just a cosmetic, audio sounds great. Smile

Thank you very much for providing us with these bleeding edge testing builds.

I only have one problem: Since build #1121 my systems do not shutdown and reboot correctly. This is the same for the RPi2.
The system just keeps hanging saying "[ OK ] Reached target shutdown." Shutdown procedures have been working fine in build #1119.

As far as I can remember, there was a similar problem with the RPi builds before that had been fixed.
I did not provide any kodi logs as I think this is unrelated. If you need logs or further information I will be happy to provide it.

Is this still an issue in the latest #0129 build?

Works like a charm!
Audio is starting late (2-3 seconds) in the latest version. But it is syncron as soon as its starts. Tested on skylake with gtx950 and intel broadwell nuc.

No Debug Log no issue - after you did this now the 10th time - you landed on my ignore list.

Wasn't exactly expecting that to be honest, as nothing has really changed to address this although my recent testing has shown the hang at reboot to be a little less predictable with more recent builds (when I last tested this back in December it would hang every time, now it's a bit more random - sometimes it boots, sometimes it doesn't). I suspect if you tried rebooting enough times, you'd find it still hangs every now and again.

There's a possible fix coming, PR:4659 - I'll include this in the next build if test results are positive.

Do those logs help with your current issue?

No but the current logs help me with this issue (as you can see?). I always post the problem as soon as i recognize it and i add the debug log when my girlfriend is not killing me for enabling debug logs while watching a movie...
@fritsch

and concerning reporting my alpine ridge problem:

currently i cannot set up the required debug system for a proper bug report which is required by them.

Is this possible to rollback in latest releases so that this will not be present?

No, these test/bleeding edge builds are about moving forward, bugs and all. If we attempt to avoid bugs by reverting updates then those bugs will likely never be fixed (due to fewer complaints, less logs/information), and the new updates will never be tested as we're stuck on older versions while we avoid known bugs. Besides, this particular bug doesn't affect everyone (or at least, it isn't a major problem for everyone - I may have had it once, if at all).

If a test build isn't working for you, you'll need to go back to an earlier build that works better, or stick with official releases.
