negge, thank you for fixing this and thank you to all who helped in some way. It's very much appreciated.
Quick question, how do you get and install the fixed version? I had hoped it would just show up in the repository but I tried this:
Quote:$ sudo apt-get install kodi-pvr-hts
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
kodi-pvr-hts is already the newest version.
In my /etc/apt/sources.list.d/team-xbmc-ppa-trusty.list it shows:
Quote:deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ubuntu trusty main
# deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ubuntu trusty main
So I looked in the Kodi repository in
http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/u...4/Packages and found this in the list of packages:

But it would appear that what we need is version 2.2.8 (though not sure if that's correct for Isengard), so my question is, is this something we have to download and install manually, or should it just automatically show up in the repository soon? I'm never quite sure how this all works. Thanks!
EDIT: It appears I need to clarify that what I am asking is whether there is any way for a
user to install this yet. The only way I know how to install addons in Kodi are from the Kodi repository using Update Manager or apt-get, or from the Kodi addon repository (I guess PVR addons aren't stored there anymore), or if an addon can be downloaded and installed from a zip file I know how to do that from within Kodi's interface. I can also download and copy files to a specific directory if absolutely necessary. If there isn't any way to install it yet using one of those methods, and I just have to wait for it to show up in the repository that's fine, but I don't have any idea how to use any kind of developer tools, and code is about as readable to me as some long lost ancient language. And I am old (probably about the same age as some of your grandfathers) so I'm probably not going to learn to code in this lifetime. All I'm really wanting to know is if there's some way to install it now (as a user) and I'm just not seeing it. I do know how to add a different repository using the add-apt-repository command, if necessary, but I would need to know the name of the repository (the part that starts with ppa:).
