I wanted to order the core today. But the increased price to 120€ stopped me... :-(

Me too. My limit is 99Euro

@wrxtasy, I'd like to update to your latest "Experimental 3D MVC Test Builds - 25.Dec.15", but as SMB/NFS still doesn't work on Core for me, how do I apply the .tar file? Put it on a USB stick, but Kodi's file manager doesn't allow copy/paste it seems. Is there another way, or can you build an image file instead? Thanks.

Grab the .tar file and decompress it on a PC, navigate to the OpenELEC-WeTek..... / target directory
Replace the KERNEL and SYSTEM file on the microSDHC card with those two found in the target directory.

I am about to do a recompile with the MAC address fixes in it as well that may improve SMB/NFS

Also hdmkv, can you comment on the deinterlacing questions being asked over here in the sticky thread please:

Great, thanks. Will test and report back.

Update: Same results as w/previous build. 3D MVC MKV plays w/audio only, then even audio breaks apart and stops. 3D ISO doesn't play at all; causes Core to freeze. Thanks for trying however; I know you're flying blind w/o a 3D display to test on.

Curious if there's any Android box besides Zidoo X6/HiMedia H8 that have picked up Koying's MVC hack?

Cheers hdmkv, yes flying blind !

It does not help AMLogic users at all when companies like MINIX do not share 3D MVC GPL2 code either.
Being in bed with VidOn is the reason for this. (they are using VidOn patches)
There will be more comment to come from me on this MINIX / VidOn partnership in 2016.

Yes I know WeTek and the wider AMLogic devs community are well aware of the fbdev OE Kodi GUI tearing problem and want to fix it.

I guess I'm just frustrated that someone has not come up with a solution in 2015 as OpenELEC is a speed demon on S8XX devices, particularly the S812-H. A smooth tear free GUI would be the Cherry on top to complete the OpenELEC Kodi distros. Smile

BTW, Sam Nazarko is about to announce an AMLogic S8XX equipped Vero 2 running OSMC, and he is very aware of this fbdev AMLogic Kodi GUI tearing problem as well. An exchange of ideas and possible solutions would benefit all AMLogic users I would think.

Have you taken all the related patches from my master, and the ffmpeg patch from my fork?

It works on Android, and should work the same on OE.

These top two:

Yes have the ffmpeg stuff.

EDIT
It would definitely help if the Kernel was configured properly in the first place for VDEC_H264MVC, my fault I should have double checked !

@hdmkv, expect another test 3D MVC .tar shortly

wrxtasy dances a wee Jig !!! Nod

Now that the AMLogic Kernel has been given a bit of a massage, to actually activate H264MVC support.
3D MVC appears to be working this time and I get top / bottom (over/under) video output with the OSD codec indicating
am-h264mvc Smile

OpenELEC 6.0.0 .tar file here: (this also contains the MAC networking address fix)

3D MVC .iso BDRips yet to sort out, this was working last week tho.

Any plan to launch the complete version with the patch? I'm afraid that I could no apply the update since I can not connect to my Openelc from my computer. I need to create a new image.
I just need to test the ethernet patch.

No need for a full image, this is the quick method:

Quote:Grab the .tar file and decompress it on a PC, navigate to the OpenELEC-WeTek..... / target directory.
Replace the KERNEL and SYSTEM files on the microSDHC card with those two found in the target directory.

Thank you, wrxtasy.
Can I replace those two files inserting my mSD in my Mac or PC (not Linux)?. I know that there are hidden partition in Openelec.
I would try it before asking but I have not an Openelec image right now.

PC or Mac, does not matter just replace the two files on the only directory that pops up when you insert the mSD.
Nothing tricky at all as its a Fat partition.

It must be Xmas or a New years gift.... as

Some clever Hacker has nabbed the Android TV OS version of Netflix from a TV and massaged it to work with the Core. You still need a paid Netflix account and a Netflix Certified device like the Core to use it.
There is no Piracy of streams involved at all.

Work brilliantly, and a lot more remote control friendly. Also is a lot quicker than the regular Google Play Netflix tablet version.
2.0 Audio still.

I find this pretty ironic considering this cnx-software article about 1080p Full HD / 4K Netflix devices came out today.
MINIX are not happy at all !

Just got my Wetek Core. Great device. But decided to sell it and go with a Nvidia shield.

Only problem, is there are literally ZERO listed on Ebay or Amazon. Strange.
