A problem with Q5 was samba or nfs doesn't work because kodi wrapper doesn't support user/password samba shares.

I'd like know if you can playback from kodi using samba user/password protected share folder.

Here is what I found:

Blu-ray 3D iso output is indeed frame packing. I checked it on Epson 5020UBe, Samsung JS8500 and Sony W900, W802A TVs.
Edit: It looks like this is not consistent. See my update 3 posts below.



Now the problems:
1) 3D playback freezes after a few minutes. I checked 3 movies and it happened on all four displays. It didn't matter whether the playback was from local hard disk or NAS.

2) Refresh rate doesn't seem to switch correctly. I have enabled both "Adjust display refresh rate" and "Refresh rate switch". "Allow hardware 23976 optimize RockchipCodec" is also enabled. With 23.976fps content, I could see refresh rate switching, but it is not 23.976Hz, It switches to 24.000Hz (from Lumagen Radiance Video Processor). This was the same for 2D and 3D content.

3) I am still getting no audio (7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio). Just noise. This is with Onkyo TX-NR928 AVR and Sony CT-780 soundbar.

4) As movie78 has mentioned, Kodi menu is all messed up in 3D mode.

Ok, so you experience this in 3D but not in 2D and you are using HDMI, right?

I didnt have time to test the 3d framepacking
I did test other stuff :
- still artifacts (come on, get rid of them or the player is useless)
- 3d played in 2d still stops somewhere in middle of movie
- will test the 3d iso tonight for sure
- audio out of sync

the player needs really much improvement

I call the 3D playback in the Zidoo X6 FAUX 3D,even though the player is player is playing in 3D Framepacking,there is not enough DEPTH in the 3D compare to my other media players,the 3D looks FLAT.

Let me ask the crazy question for troubleshooting; Have changed your HDMI cable some of this sounds like a bad cable?
