I just can't believe it, how there is no Kodi for samsung tizen?

Samsung tizen users are all potential Kodi users. Only good and useful app fot TV and no Tizen installation?
This is a pure joke Smile

we're no company, and ports to new platforms only happen if a random dev is interested in doing so. That random dev doesn't have to be a team member. Kodi is open source, so everybody is welcome to contribute. There is no rule that only team members are allowed to work on it - it's actually the opposite. Becoming a team member is mostly a sign of gratitude towards people that contribute a lot to Kodi and nothinig more. So non-team members that love to work on Kodi, are super supportive in the forum or contribute a lot in some other way are one day asked if they want to join the team as a sign of gratitude for their hard work and to ease up communication with the rest of the team. There are no other obligations, no money, no virgins or what so ever. The only "benefit" there might be is that you can join devcon, but we also invited non-team members/devs to devcon already, so it's also not that special.

One particular issue is Samsung is rather hostile to having apps in their store that use FFMpeg. This one point is keeping MrMC from pursuing a port.

Curious why Samsung would be hostile towards FFMpeg.
Is it some licensing, patent or other issue?

Has anyone tried Application Compatibility Layer (ACL)? Supposedly would allow Android apps to work on Tizen.
