Best way to scrape items

Hello,

I'm looking for the easiest setup of my content and am looking for advice.
Currently, I have a NAS in 1 room that rarely streams and a hard drive in another that is constantly used.

When I get new content, I either plug into 1 of the drives or transfer via cloud.
I use Ember for all of my scrapes. So, I usually move the file to a device, scrape, then copy to the 2nd. It's sometimes tough, because (for tv) I need season folders, which I either have to create on my laptop first or drop direct into where it is on the cloud and hope it scraped properly.

Am I wasting too much time here? I don't have a LOT of updates, but it still is not as efficient as I'd expect. I know I can scrape via KODI, but can I have Kodi dump the new content to the hard disc in the folder it goes to and ONLY scrape and load images for new content?

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

the update library in kodi is just an update library, and not a regrab-info-for-everything. you can use 'export library' in settings, it writes .nfo files et al alongside the videos, just like ember.

alternatively you can use a mysql db to share the library between the devices.
