Hi
As there's no Kodi automatic program updater, I periodically have to check if there's a new released version of Kodi. Unfortunately Kodi doesn't report which version is installed in Control Panel > Programs & Features. Would it be possible to include this?
Otherwise it's pain to have to run Kodi, go into System Info and then divine it from there.
The app's ticker seems to have lots of different (unreleased) versions reported so that's not much help.

My God, your time must be precious!
Newly released versions of Kodi come out about two per year in final release form. To have to "run Kodi, go into System Info..." in order to reacquaint yourself with the precise version of Kodi you have installed surely cannot be that much of an imposition.

Create a shortcut to your Userdata folder on your desktop then open "kodi.log" and right at the start the version number is given, so there's no need to launch Kodi.

Why not just rename your desktop shortcut to include the version number. That way you've just got to look at the icon to see what it is. Just remember to change it every time you install a new version.

Most programs don't put a version number into Control Panel > Programs and Features. It can lead to a messy and confusing list when versions are installed on top of each other. Or there has been a partial manual update. This list would become especially meaningless for any software that auto-updates.
The standard in normal programs is going to the Help menu and selecting About. Which means that KODI is following that standard by sending you into SETTINGS \ SYSTEM INFO. By doing it this way it is also platform independent.
Anyway... isn't there a big shouty banner in the middle of the screen with the version number on it every time you restart KODI?
