Linux Crashes when fast-forwarding on v13
#1
Information
Hey y'all,

I've been experiencing crashes with Kodi/XBMC v13.2 running on Debian Jessie from the official Debian APT package.

The crashes only happen when fast-forwarding or skipping through a movie.

The machine is a little old now, but with the previous couple of versions of XBMC I didn't have this trouble. It's an Intel Atom ION board, with 4GB ram.

Any thoughts on why this is happening, and anything I might be able to do to remedy?

Cheers

v13 is out of support and nobody is developing it anymore.

Edit: Ah you said "official" apt package - yeah this is a broken patched debian package anyways and has nothing to do with us. This policy was changed by debian after v13 -> so head to the debian bugtracker and file this issue.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks for getting back to me fritsch.

I won't bother the Debian team with this - I'd rather just use a main line supported package. To be honest I was really surprised to see that Debian logo in the corner of my XBMC install!

Does Team-Kodi distribute Debian packages? Or will I need to install from source?
