I recently upgraded from Frodo to Isengard on my HTPC (WIndows 8.1 Pro). I control it via iRule on iPads around the house using a combination of MCE Controller and Kodi's JSON API.
Sometimes... not all the time and I can't really repeat it on demand... when I launch Kodi via iPad->MCE Controller run exe command, the task bar at the bottom of the Windows screen stays visible (although translucent) and the Kodi window isn't active. That means that none of my commands from my iPad do anything so I have to send the command to quit Kodi and then re-launch it. Sometimes it can take a couple start/quits before it launches correctly.
Does anyone know why this would be happening and what I could do to prevent it? If I can't prevent it from the Kodi/Windows side is there a command I could sequence after I run the exe to start Kodi that will make that window active?
