Originally the device did not support these two formats however with firmware 2.0 nvidia has supported output of these two formats from the shield tv however in the Kodi settings I see that I am only able to select DTS and Dolby as outputs when activating pass through. Is this a limitation of Kodi on android not supporting these formats or am I missing something?

Short answer is that it wont be implemented till after Kodi 16
