hugohuetzel Wrote:Thx Coolgamer30 for the screenshots (btw is there a screenshot feature in xbmc?).I did something wrong when I applied the patch the first time. I just applied the vesion 2 of the patch and it has the labels under the album cover now. Here are some pics:
But in my patch are a few info labels below the wrap list (in the free space). Have you removed them or are they not working correctly with your xbmc?
This was only a design test to see wrtap lists in Project Mayhem, especially to test if 3 icons are enough in 4x3 mode. Feel free to discuss.
Have a nice day!

How can we choose what video comes to the front? I like how Jezz_x's version is offset. Is that easy to change? Can't wait for this to be fully implemented. looks great already.

Quote:How can we choose what video comes to the front? As i know it is only possible to set the focused item in the xml file (fixed value).
But wrap lists are undocumented, so i don't know :confused2: .
Quote:also, how do I apply the patch? On Linux you do the following (On Windows i don't know):
1.) checkout PMIII from svn
2.) go to PMIII folder (cd skin/Project Mayhem III)
3.) execute: patch -p1 < PATH_TO_PATCH_FILE
4.) copy mirror_mask.png to media folder
5.) create Textures.xpr
6.) rename PMIII folder (if you want) and upload to XBMC
7.) have fun

Here is the final version (V3) of the patch.
Should be enough to wait for real PMIII wrap list support
I have added a second wrap list (with 5 items) to 4:3 mode, so everyone can choose.
Apply this patch Project Mayhem III (wrap) V3.diff
and add this PNG http://www.noid-project.de/data/mirror_mask.png to the media directory
Tested with PMIII svn HEAD-revision and XBMC T3CH 2007-01-16
Have fun!

do we need the xdk kit to compile this patch into xbmc? will tech add this to the next version?
2007-02-22, 23:59
jarod71: Here are the files for the PMIII wraplist. Just overwrite your skin files with the ones included in this rar. Project Mayhem III Wraplist
Also T3CH will never add this patch in his builds unless it actually added into the official XBMC svn.

Hi jarod71,
looks like the mirror_mask.png is missing.
You have to create a new Textures.xpr with this png included (in media folder).

The only program you need is XBMCTex.exe (svn in folder trunk/XBMC/tools/XBMCTex/) to create the Textures.xpr file.
Have a look at the script build.bat (svn in folder trunk/XBMC/skin/Project Mayhem III/). This script is used to create the skin.

One addition: with media folder i mean the media folder of the skin, not the xbmc media folder.

do you have the svn address for Project Meyhem III?
so if i download or checkout the latest pmIII, throw the mirrormask in the folder before building, then I use the batch file to compile, I should be good to go right? I was confusing pmIII with xbmc as one in the same. I have downloaded xtv with tortisesvn and used the build.bat to compile, so this is the same right? just add the mirror mask and then build?
thanks so much for ur help. I cant wait to get this going...

jarod71 Wrote:i will play with it tonight. not sure what you mean exactly. There is a media folder in every skin and one media folder in XBMC.
And i'm talking about the media folder of the skin.

Browse svn: http://xbmc.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/x...ayhem III/

Apply the patch (or take the files from Coolgamer30).
Copy the mirror_mask.png in the media folder of the skin.
Execute build.bat
