Kodibuntu and TVHeadend hard disk permission
#1
I've recently rebuilt my HTPC after having an issue with the boot disk. I did have it set up so that TVHeadend would record to the second hard drive in the PC. Last time I found a guide to set up the drive to allow me to record to it. Of course for the love of me I can't find the guide. I've have tried a few of the other few of the other ways of changing the permissions in the forum but they don't seem to work.

Anyone able to point me to the guide or know how to change the permission for the hard disk?

Thanks in advance.

How is the second hard drive mounted? Or isn't it? Can you access it at all?

Check the output of "mount -l" and/or "df -h" - both should give you some clues as to what you have mounted.

The trick will be:

1. To mount the second hard drive (so it appears somewhere in the filesystem)
2. To make sure that the hts:video user has read/write access to the second hard drive
3. To make sure that tvheadend is configured (Configuration -> Recording -> DVR Profiles -> Recording system path) so that it writes to whatever your drive path is
