why not playing all media under myvideo-mymusic and mypictures ? those myvideo-... should be a container, or shortcuts to the media on the hd/dvd/network.
for example, in case of digital camera's you can record pictures, but also record some avi, which mostly belongs together and are stored in the same folder. if you want to view them you have to go to mypicture to view the jpg and for the avi you have to go to myvideo. those handlings are very time consuming.
same counts for dvd-covers of movies, also they are stored (mostly) in the same folder.
it would be great if you could play everything inside one folder !!! to the software it's only one extra layer !!! the main-screen should only contain links to several folders of the same type. another suggestion why not on the fly generate shortcuts for movies/pictures/music. never should be adapted the .xml file. you have already the software available from myappl.
