Hey guys,

Im totally new to these builds and i have run into some issues. I upgraded my standart build with the latest milhouse build and now a lot of text is missing, meaning i cant really change stuff in the menues etc.

Is this a known issue and what can i do about it

thx in advance.

Not a known issue. Could be that you don't have enough gpu_mem - make sure you have gpu_mem=128 for RPi1 and gpu_mem=256 for RPi2/3. If you're using a third party skin then switch to the standard Estuary skin. Otherwise upload your debug log (wiki). A screenshot/photograph might also help.

Thx for the fast reply.

I cant really give u a debug log, because i cant turn it on in the gui. The missing Text makes it really hard to navigate the menue. Most of the time i just see the switches (on/off). i tried using different skins but its the same with all of them. I assume it is not working since i upgraded from the standard 6.0.3. I have a pi 3 /w hifi berry and downloaded the pi2 version of your build (New OpenELEC.tv Krypton build #0412), since its the same (p2/p3) on the official open elec page.

Shall i just try to upgrade the build again?

//Edit: ok im an idiot. After one additional restart (power cycle) everything seems to be ok. Im very sorry for wasting your time.
Ah, you're German? There's no German language installed by default, only English. So you need to install the German language addon... somehow.

Just go to settings --> appearance --> international --> language

It means that playback from DVD (both physical spinning silver disk, or ripped ISO file) is currently disabled until someone takes an interest in making it work again.

looks like OSMC have DVD playback

@Milhouse May I suggest a better line for the changelog:

Build Highlights:

+ NOTE: DVD playback from disc and ISO is broken and temporarily disabled. Looking for people to help fix it, see <PR:xxxx link> for ideas and to submit patches.

Advertise that you are outta time and/or stamina for a certain problem.
Katastrophentourist
I have noted that in the last build or so when using my Remote Control to power down the Pi 3, (using the "Off" button) it will turn off my TV as required and also shutdown the Pi BUT it will no longer leave the Pi off with both the red and green light on - safe to fully power off.

So I went back to build 409 and it worked as it used to - powering off like above and the Pi is left with both the red and green light being solid, safe to power down.Build 410 worked fine as did 411. But the problem starts at build 412.

For whatever reason from build 412 onwards when using the OFF button on my remote it will power down the TV fine but leave the Pi with only the red light on and not the red and green solid on as it used to.

If you need a debug log then please let me know.

Unless this is normal behaviour now...?

bootcode: Ensure LED is switched off after halt on Pi3

seen the above in the build notes for 412.

Thanks
Been testing last couple of builds (currently #0414) with Filmon and TVHeadend PVR's running in tandem.
(Appearing to work well via standard Kodi TV Option)

Possibly as a direct consequence of using Filmon PVR after each re-boot of Rpi I am consistently getting a single kodi crash before successful Kodi start-up.

Crashlog at first start of Kodi http://sprunge.us/XWYh
Standard Log after clean second start of Kodi http://sprunge.us/OLFF

For reference :-

PVR back-ends - Filmon API v2.2 & HTS Tvheadend 4.1-1724
PVR front-ends - PVR Filmon Client v0.7.6 & Tvheadened HTSP Client v2.2.14

This is a follow-up to this post. I was testing passthrough of BTB (0-15) and WTW (236-255) from video (YUV420) on the Pi2 with the latest builds (#0411, #0414) and it looks like it is not working. I haven't checked older builds to see whether it was working at some point of time. It does work as intended with OpenELEC x86 on Intel Haswell. On the Pi2, I am finding that the levels are either clamped (pixel_encoding=0, 1, 3) or upscaled/remapped (pixel_encoding=2). Is there some other setting in the configuration file that I am overlooking?
