OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
For me it's taking around 6-8 minutes before I'm even seeing the GUI. This is on a RPi2 though.
I'm seeing loads of PVR related errors inside kodi.log, although I can't remember that I've enabled like 15 pvr addons... I am not even using pvr.
You´re right. Same issue on my device. This thing happend since 20.03 maybe @Milhouse can fix it with the next bulid?

I personally run 5.6.28-0ubuntu0.15.10.1, the version that comes with ubuntu15.10, and before that I believe it was the version with ubuntu 14.04.
HTPC(s): All running LibreELEC
  • AMD 2200G APU on Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming WIFI-CF
  • RPI3 x2 | RPI2 x2
NAS: FreeNAS (Latest Stable) | NFS/CIFS
yaeh same here... A long time before ok to watch video !

Have you read the posts since build #0323?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
I fixed it by editing the Addons22.db using a sqlite editor and disabling all pvr related addons by hand.
So far no more startup delay and no more pvr manager running, had no luck with deleting Addons database and build reverting on my side.

Why not - what happened? debug log? Worked for me, but if it didn't work for you then you'll need to provide more details, it's the only way things are likely to be fixed.

Yes, version 7.0.0 from the unofficial addons repo works fine. @Milhouse compiled a newer one (I think) but it wasn't working for me.

The version in the unofficial repository does not start up for me (millhouse build #0319)

The Milhouse version http://milhouse.openelec.tv/builds/addon...lhouse.zip starts up but will not load any torrent files.

Nothing unusual in the log files,

Please let me know if you have any luck.

I just did a fresh install on a new sd card, updated to 0325, a pain in the ass disabling all pvr add-ons, but everything works fine.

Also had some trouble finding out how to enable the unofficial repository, but installed transmission from there, set the download folder and that's it. Transmission is working for me.

Quote:But after a reboot, most of the add-ons are disabled, and even if I try to install an repository from a zip file, it installs but can't find it anywhere in the menus.

Another reboot is required for the add-ons to show up.
Installing repositories from zip should be fixed in tonight's build, #0326.

Set up a MySQL database today for my two RPi2's to access. It is running on windows.
Everything plays normally, but I do have one question.

When using a shared MySQL DB, are thumbnails suppose to display on the home screen?
Things I am missing are:
Movies: Recently Added, Unwatched Movies, Random Movies
TV Shows: In Progress TV shows, Recently added episodes, Unwatched TV Shows
Music: Recently played albums, Recently added albums, Random albums, random artists, Unplayed albums, Most played albums

All those show with a local library, but I am not seeing anything on the home screen with MySQL library. Is that normal?

I am seeing this type of stuff all over my log. Related? I am using build #0319

Yes.

No.

Check your kodi.log for errors when accessing the artwork, as the artwork will still need to be cached by all the devices other than the device you used to scrape your library.

If you've used Path Substitution in an attempt to share Thumbnails between devices, that doesn't work.

Use texturecache.py to query your movies and view the urls being used, it's likely the Pi cannot access the artwork files.

Thanks, I'm not sure which it was, either the reboot after the upgrade from #0319 to #0326, or the upgrade it self, but it is displaying properly now.

Testing latest build still leaves addons and dependencies disabled if db22 is created from scratch. Hope this is a bug and not a feature.
I wonder if the long press button is working in OE with CEC? I just can make my Samsung remote to work with long press.
