Here's something I was meaning to report for quite a while. This is probably not the correct place for it, but maybe you can forward (if it's not an already known issue) to the proper developers.
When playback continues after jumping/seeking in MPEG2 videos (codec info shows "mmal-mpeg2"), the screen turns "mostly grey" with numerous picture artifacts. The effect looks like the player does not properly look for the I-frame closest to the seek destination, but tries to apply whatever P/B-frames it finds to an "empty" picture.
I think this started with the switch to VideoPlayer. This only happens with MPEG2, and only with VideoPlayer. OMXPlayer and/or other codecs don't have this issue.
