Many times I anticipate titles that guests might enjoy and add them to favorites.
Once we are viewing these favorites, the only info available is the name of the title and the poster.
The info to make a decisive choice is too vague and I resort to backing out of favorites and entering the library to browse to the title for complete info.
Then it's back to favorites, to choose the next title indexed there, and repeat the process.
It would be very convenient if the favorites library appeared indexed with full functionality like other libraries, especially an info window.

What I also would like to see for the favorites, is that they have another colour, or a asterisk or something when viewing the normal library.

Have you tried my Super Favourites addon?
Install it from the official repo.
Then go into its settings and enable the Gobal Menu.
Then when you right-click a movie in your library (or however you open the context menu) you can add it to Super Favourites instead of kodi favourites (you could even have a sub-folder in there called guests).
When you add them to Super Favourites like this they get a description added to them (for movies it will be the plot), this description is visible in a number of view types, I tend to use mediainfo3, make sure you launch SF from the video menu

Yes, tried Super Favorites and thanks for the reco but it's not for me.
I still only see a poster image after adding a title just like the existing Kodi Favorites.
I can enter the title and see a synopsis but everything else is barren such as no artwork or metadata.
Also, don't like how it takes over the context menu.
Furthermore, after uninstalling your add-on, the context menu no longer functioned at all. Broken beyond repair. Glad I had a backup.
A custom 'Favorite Mark' on a title could probably be added as a skin option but with extensive libraries locating 'Favorite Marked' titles would be futile unless the radio button for 'Sort By' had an addition 'Show only favorite marked titles' or at least sort them at the beginning or end of the entire library.
The playlist function is iffy too. I tried it for a time and found it clumsy and time consuming to edit. Playlist is skin dependent also.
Currently, while browsing a library and focused on a title, rich artwork and metadata is displayed without the need to enter the info window. Confluence/Fanart view for example. This view is what I'd like to see displayed after adding a favorite title. A mimic of the original library or a sort by marked titles in the original library.

Why has this not become a thing yet?!
I really miss this feature.

Ah, great. That's exactly what I needed. Thank you very much.
That should get in the official repository at least.
