v16 [B4] & [17 Alpha 1] Album playback fails through JSON (Kore & Yatse)
#1
I've run into a problem where playback of an album fails through JSON. Playback by navigating the gui and starting playback of an album in the library works fine. I have to run a full database update to get album playback to work. After a reboot album playback is broken again. I have deleted the source and deleted the database file to start from scratch: added a source with a different name and scanned it to library. Playback of an album using Kore works fine, reboot playback is broken, full library scan, playback works again.

This behavior is present in Jarvis beta 4 and K**** alpha 1 and the current Kore from Play Store as well as the latest nightly of Kore

17 alpha 1 log before update of library: http://xbmclogs.com/piehwknjc#line-697
17 alpha 1 log after update of library: http://xbmclogs.com/piehwknjc#line-15697

A library export before and after updating the library both contain the correct NFS paths to the music, file paths are correctly saved.

Anybody clue what to do? Or is this a bug?

Found out why I thought it was working. A video library update also fixes the problem until next boot. I have now set scan video library at boot as a workaround.

Was hoping someone else would pick this up, oh well I'll give it a go!

Unfortunately I don't know what JSON calls Kore uses to play an album, and I can't tell if this is a Kore issue or a Kodi one. You mention Yatse in the title, this is behaving the same way? No issues with Isengard? Playback of a song OK? What sync'ing are you seeing from Kore to your Kodi library?

A ticket has been raised for this bug http://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/16469 that gives me a bit more info. Will see if I can fix it!
