Edited the drectory names to remove the spaces in the paths - no change. Screen still goes black and hangs. Debug log appears identical (apart from the spaces in the paths)

Any idea or any information I can provide to help you guys work out what this problem is? Currently have to boot to EvoX to ply games and then onto XBMC for media centre-ness. Not that big a deal, just reminds me how good XBMC is compared to other dashes

Using last nights T3CH build, XBMC no longer boots. Black screen. It happens setup as a dashboard, and launched as an app. Clean install was done.

Here's my log:

Here's another debug log to add to the pile. XBMC Log 2007.04.02

Trying to launch any xbe freezes with a black screen. Soft boot (left and right trigger, back, black) while in XBMC also freezes to black.
  • I'm running an SVN build, compiled April 2nd.
  • XBox version 1.3
  • Xecuter chip (2.3 lite, I believe) running bios version 5035
  • Tried with and without flicker filter patching

Also, I notice that the log has the wrong date. I built this xbmc today, but it's saying Built on Mar 27, 2007. Weird.

Code:
23:21:37 M: 54464512  NOTICE: -----------------------------------------------------------------------
23:21:37 M: 54444032  NOTICE: Starting XBoxMediaCenter.  Built on Mar 27 2007

Not weird at all. If your computer has that date, then that date will be in the xbe. If it says the 27th yet your computer has the correct date, then you aren't running the xbe you think you are.

Sad
Could this be related to all of us having the same mod chip? I am using a Xecuter lite + or something like that.

I have the I was told this problem was fixed with the most recent release(XBMC-SVN_2007-04-01_rev8391), but thats what I have and it still locks up. I don't want to go back cause I really enjoy the new features.

An update after my previous post: since upgrading to the latest t3ch build last weekend, still having the xbe launch problem. Here is an entire debug log (another for the pile):

http://pastebin.ca/425357

I tried flashing my bios this morning, without much success (used the wrong bios i think (EvoX M8 plus 1.6), still learning in that respect) so have reverted back to the X2 5035 v1.6plus (which was used whilst generating the log above). What older version do people recommend flashing to to allow me to launch xbes, i've seen talk of the X2 4983 version, but any recommendations?

i tried a different bios....5032 and still...i had the same problem launching xbes' even with the latest xbmc build...so i went back to 5035....i don't know whats up with this xbox that has the 2.6ce chip at least i can still launch xbe's on xbmc 2.0.0...like i said before..my other 2 xbox that has x3ce chip in them works just flawlessly with the newer builds.

I am getting the same problem with xecuter 2.3 with bios 49xx (4950 if I remember correctly)
#27
Same Problem.

X2.6CE 5035 Bios.

Anyone figured out a fix?
#28
I have the same problem.

1.6 Xbox
X2.6 chip
X2 5035 bios

Trying to install XBMC results in blank screen after ms logo. The hdd seems to be thrashing as if it is looking for a file?

Re-flashed bios with evox_m8_16. Same thing happens
#29
That is not the same problem at all. This thread refers to launch issues of other xbe's from within XBMC.

Is XBMC writing to a logfile? If not, it's not running. Are you using the Team XBMC shortcut? Is it logging? If not, it's not running.

Troubleshoot your issue or post full details if you want more help.

I've flashed my bios from X2 5035 to EvoX's M8plus_1.6 bios using this tutorial and now I can launch xbes from within XBMC.

Just a update/conclusion from all of my previous posts.
