The Apple TV 3 can't do Kodi... It's as simple as that...

Can someone explain why it's not possible with 3rd gen? It doesn't make sense to me: yes for 2 and 4, but not 3?

there is no jailbreak for atv3 like for atv2. And atv2 nor atv3 permitted user apps.

atv4 is a totally different beast as it permits user apps and there is a jailbreak (1st ver tvOS only).
