Thanks for fixing the most recent login failures, as they just struck me last night.

Here's a suggestion to ease the pain associated with the daily-login-crash-bug:

Code:

Count consecutive login-failures, clearing to 0 on success.
If count = 1,
  skip notification and automatically retry
  remember and reuse the previous currently-watching value
  if successful,
    proceed to the originally selected destination
  else
    proceed to the current default behavior (notify and prompt)
end

Of course if a real fix is impending, then don't waste time on this workaround!
