Everytime I start retrospect a warning about enabling channel updates pop's up. I can't enable these updates because the repository is down. Are there any lines that I could comment out in order to not get this warning?

It has nothing to do with the Repository. Retrospect will open the "All Add-ons" folder from where you can enable all the Retrospect Channel add-ons
They are all enabled. I think it has to do with that I open retrospect from a favourite pointing directly to NRK categories. When I open retrospect directly I don't get this warning. I will try to make a new favourite

Could you enable debug logging in Retrospect. The next time you see the message, please go to the Retrospect settings and upload the logfiles to Gist and then post that link here. That way I can see what is wrong.

If I stream TV4 through retrospect instead of their own website they don't get to show me any advertisements (which i assume they think is a bad thing). That would not be an issue with Public service

That thought about the commercials not being shown has actually been my thought all along, together with the geo-unblocking feature. Those two things are probably a big no-no in channel networks view. I haven't mentioned it because... Well, maybe I'm paranoid, but I wouldn't be surprised if some channel networks are watching. No matter if they are or not, SVT made the loophole by X-Forwarded-For not work for the live channels this winter (was it?) and Yle (not in Retrospect yet) closed it altogether for live channels and play content last year. I wonder if SVT will start to block well-known VPN IPs.

Yep, so perhaps I will need to remove the proxy stuff at some point.....

Might be, yes. I would of course want you to wait and see, but I think we all agree you not risking a law suit is priority number one.

On the topic of geoblocking it might be interesting to know about this

Quote:Förslaget att avskaffa geoblockering av digitala tv-tjänster mellan de nordiska länderna diskuterades när Nordiska rådets utskott för kunskap och kultur möttes den 26 juni i Helsingfors.

The Nordic council proposes to get rid of geoblocking between the Nordic countries. This is to be finally decided in November.

Also: Tv4 has certainly done something too, since all programs except news are gone from Retrospect these days.

Finally: I still pray for Retrospect's continuing life!!!!

All the best!
Ketil

About that blocked thing on Retrospect website you can probably change http-header to look like a webbrowser.
That's probably how they block the plugin.
It's also possible that Widevine + inputstream.adaptive is needed like CMore and Viasat addons needs.

I don't really understand the part about "that blocked thing on Retrospect website"?

I really understand if bas doesn't want to continue with this. I was hoping to have retrospect going as long as possible on my kodi installation and I would love to be able to fix things that go wrong myself.

However, I'm not sure how to troubleshoot. Right now SVT play is not working. Does anyone know what's wrong or how to find out?

SVT Play works here and TV4 Play works too that someone mentioned.

Yes I know that you've stopped fixing bugs at the moment. I was just asking for guidance for how to find out myself what's wrong.
