I'm using vrt.nu addon which works great, but i lack vtm.go channels (vtm.go addon is in work progress too)

if you propose not to wait, whats preferred method to install now (yes i raid ur first post)

For now, install the latest beta from zip. As soon as it is in the repo, it will start auto updating.
