@dukester: Just because that your TV is switching to 3D mode automatically doesn't mean that it is frame packing 3D output. The TV will switch to 3D whenever the VSIF contains one of the 3D structure code. You can even make it switch automatically to 3D even with HSBS and H-TAB files. All you need to do is edit the AVI header and put in stereo mode. Can you provide a Kodi log? that would give us a clue about the actual 3D output mode.
i understand all of that.. and thats not whats happening.. on my TV there is a clear distinction between how SBS TAB stuff is output and how it outputs frame packed. i took another video with some commentary.. it could be possible its related to the latest firmware on the mini mx.. maybe thats why it didnt work on your minix. u1
