Solved TV Shows not showing up after switching to MySQL
#1
Hi,

I am running Kodi 15. I followed the tutorial here for setting up a MySQL database for multiple Kodi installations. http://kodi.wiki/view/MySQL

I exported the DB in one kodi installation which created all the nfo and image files along with the video files. Then I created the advancedsettings.xml file pointing to the MySQL database and rescanned the sources. The movies scanned in fine but the TV shows do not show up under TV Shows. I can see them under Videos > Files but when I go to TV Shows I get this:

Here is a recent log. As you can see there are a lot of SQL errors at the bottom. I did some snooping around the MySQL database and it does look like it is scanning the files into the database. Also when I try to manually refresh one of the shows it seems to just open the info window for that series without any new information about it.

Kodi version: 15
MySQL version: 5.7

My googling of your error in the log: Undefined MySQL error: Code (1055) brought me to

Quick read shows problems with MySQL 5.7

Thanks, I checked it out. Interestingly I had tried some of the troubleshooting in that thread before posting here but I could not get the sql_mode to permanently set. I chose to downgrade to 5.6 to avoid the hassle.
