Win "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" Won't change my refresh rate
#1
Hey guys,

Lately I've started using Kodi and after selecting the "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" settings I have some issues.
The problem is that my current refresh rate is 60Hz but when I try to play 24Hz content, I can see the tv flickering for a sec but still stays on 60Hz.

It's like kodi can't set the tv refresh rate. If i'll change my Windows 10 resolution to 1920x1080 24Hz the tv will react fine and will show me that it is now on 24Hz
Is there a solution for this?

Thanks

Sorry, Here's the log: http://xbmclogs.com/pijct88jh
Desktop resolution is 1920x1080p 60H and I tried to play a 23.976 movie.
Kodi tried to change the TV resolution but returned to 1920x1080p 60h. (A popcorn hour streamer could easily change the TV resolution to 1920x1080p 24p

Kodi Version: 15.2
Windows Version: Windows 10

Better modes you don't have.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks for your reply.

The question is why I don't have 1920x1080@ 24p.
My TV fully support it and I can easily change my resolution to it using Windows.

Can I somehow force Kodi to support 1920x1080@24 ?

Yes, I tried several drivers. The GPU defently supports 1920x1080@24.
I can change my desktop resolution to 1920x1080@24 and turn on Kodi that will now run on 1920x1080@24

But if Kodi runs on @60 it can't flip the res to 1920x1080@24 when a movie using 23.976 is detected. I can see it's trying to but falls back to 1920x1080@60
