Boxee Box - Linux -Help
#1
Hey guys.
Just wondering why the download for the Linux version is still not available. I'm currently running Kodi on a Boxee Box however, the version is still an older one.
Does anyone have any info or know of an upgrade for my set up?

Thanks

kodi does not and never has supported the boxee box. There were unofficial forks/special versions out there, but not done by us.

Well, that doesn't make sense because I downloaded it from this site under Linux.

You got a link to this version?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

As mentioned, the Boxee Box version is nothing to do with the Official Team but is an unofficial fork which is supported at http://boxeed.in/forums/viewforum.php?f=13

So you certainly wouldn't have got any download from any of the official sites.

5 min of looking on that forum found http://boxeed.in/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1391

So looks like the unofficial fork is stuck on Helix v14 in which case I suggest you retire the Boxee Box as it's crap hardware compared to anything you can get now, plus if you get a better box you can go for one that will allow official Kodi builds to be installed.

I agree. I LOVED my Boxee. Then it crashed. Got an Asus Chromebox for cheaper and was blown away by how much better it was. ...had an Ouya too....that was....also a no go. Time to retire. She was good to you, but the new ladies have much better tricks to show off.

Look up how to reuse your Boxee remote as a standalone USB dongle for other boxes :)
