Music New Features/Improvements Request Summary
There are 2 OSD's when playing music, the Info OSD and the Menu OSD. In general terms the Menu OSD contains the player controls which you should be able to bring up by pressing the central OK/Select button on a limited remote, what else it displays is up to the skin, if that doesn't show any info on the currently playing item then usually there would be an i button among the OSD menu buttons to acceess the Info OSD.

Not sure what skin that is you're using, but if you switched back to Estuary you would see all you need in covered by pressing OK/Select button. If the skin you're using does something different then you'll have to make a request to the skin author or modify it yourself.

So this example from black_eagle within Estuary can also be brought up with the OK/Select button on remote.

It is proposes Kodi should support new tags to mp3 music recordings I found, listed below.
I found a great tag-tool; Audio Ranger, available at https://www.audioranger.com. This toool is capable of tagging music files and seems to do its job well.
I looked deeper into this and found there are some tags that Kodi is currently not making use of. I think it would be beneficial to anylse this tags further to findout how they could benefit to the user experience.
How / Why ? I think these (at least to me new) tags may inspire development of Kodi skins and core functions. There would be
nice if Kodi could provide logic to read this tags and perhaps just display optional links at the Kodi music information boxes, or provide completely new features to enable a new kind of skin that can benefit of these information links in some other magic way. This could benefit user to find information available from popular sites and social media. These sites may hold additional information related to a specific recording or artist that optionally could be presented to the user if the tag is available.
Example tags holding link information provided by the audioranger tool:

Talking about tags, as i reload my huge music database, i found a tag available in MP3TAG called "ALBUMSORT"

Including this into core as a sort function might really come in handy for different situations.

First of all, it would supply a sort function equal to the video section's movie collection where you can sort movies in a preferred order like Matrix 1, Matrix 2 & Matrix 3.
Second, sorting by year works as long as the releases of an artist came out in different years, but often there is output done in the same year (e.g. some singles/maxis came out before the album and you want to show that correct order in your library)
Third, remastered versions / remixes naturally come out later than the original release, mostly after some other releases are done before, and i'd like to group them together - which breaks the year sorting
Forth, compilations often come out more than once a year, but the naming scheme isn't always is like e.g Trancemaster 1, Trancemaster 2, Trancemaster 3 and so on. Instead they might use Trancemaster - The Beginning, Trancemaster - Another Era <- this will put the second one at first place which is incorrect. Here the use of ALBUMSORT can improve a lot.

In general, ALBUMSORT might be a great addition to whichever sorting method a user prefers as a way to customize it a bit further. And in my opinion ALBUMSORT is the next logical step after enabling ARTISTSORT and ALBUMARTISTSORT as a core sorting method.

What do you think?

Not sure if anyone has made this request before, but is there an addon that allows you to transfer music from your Kodi directory to a mobile device such as as an android or iPhone?

Yatse (Android app) is able to do this. Don't know, if Kore is able, too

The Kore app has had problems getting compiled on the build server for a few months, but fixes now have been applied there so new versions can be expected.
Whether the above is also implemented, now idea. There is a specific Kore subthread on the forum.

Can I suggest that "Keywords" be added as a searchable tag where compiling smart playlists etc.  TIA.

maybe no-one will see this, but at least i put it out there...

Hello Kodi fans and hopefully devs! i have 2 dlna-upnp requests that i hope are fairly easy to implement and i would really love to see these fixes!

1. make dlna packet buffering behave as local lan traffic and not internet traffic under advancedsettings.xml / video cache / buffermode. currently it gets treated as a "true internet filesystem", which is incorrect, and this applies to audio as well as video..
i would really like to disable buffering for the audio played by Kodi off my lan..but keep it for internet streaming. currently only option 3 disables it.
2. make "play using" behave the same as "play" in terms of playing the next song automatically, such that it will continue to stream all the subsequent songs in order, over the network to the dlna renderer if "play using ... (dlna player)" is selected on a song in a folder. ..this should likely also apply to other targets under the "play using" context menu such PaPlayer
