Is there an easy way to limit the available power options in the power menu?
I am using Kodi on my new HTPC now and I would like to hide the sleep option. Hibernate uses less power, doesn't wake up all the time and is rebooted almost as fast as sleep mode.

Is there a skin file I can edit or did I just miss a setting?

no but you can configure the default shutdown action in kodi so you can hibenate your htpc by press the power button of your remote.

okay, that doesn't help much since I use an xbox controller to navigate within kodi and I didn't map a power button. I guess I have to teach my girlfriend the difference between sleep and hibernate and why to use hibernate, then.

Technically, you could edit the file which controls that area and remove all the options. Exit can be a custom button. However, that will possibly break things.
