No Guide/No Streaming on WBZHD/4.1
#1
My Microsoft Windows Media Center (WMC) works perfectly on that channel and record the episodes.

I can also stream the recorded episode to Kodi via ServerWMC without any problem.

However, for that channel only, in Kodi, I have no guide and no live streaming on WBZHD/4.1.

That channel is from over the air and it's very unlikely to be ever protected.

This the server log on Kodi side:

Check out this thread, see if your problem is the same:

The problem sound similar to http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=257856, but I have no clue how to fix it beside reinstalling WMC...

See pictures: https://app.box.com/s/pkpm3db9621e66q904fbdeds6fseb4c8

It's a little sad that the problems I get are about things that already work on WMC. It would be nicer if issues would be more about extra feature on top of WMC.

? That's the same link I pointed to.

In wmc go to:
Tasks>TV>Guide>Edit Channels

then select your problem channel

Then select Edit Listing and see if you have a duplicate guide listing - like the guy in the thread.

I agree that it would be great if serverwmc could handle any weird way that wmc can be configured, but such is life (and free software).

It seems that I have no duplication.

I don't know the APIs of WMC, but if ServerWMC was calling the same that WMC use to build the guide, then it should show the same.

in the settings file of serverwmc (see debug tab). Find this element:
Debug_ChannelDetail and set it to true

then save the file, then restart serverwmc. After it starts post the entire serverwmc log on pastebin.com and put a link to it here.

If there was documentation of the wmc api we could possibly duplicate what wmc does. If you think you can do better we'd love the help.

Right, I remember this now.

You're getting an exception thrown when serverwmc tries to figure out the dlna address of a channel (I think I saw that before in one of your other threads but I forgot to fix it) - I fixed it now (a little late). I think the reason you get this exception is because swmc reports that one of your hdhr's is dlna capable and the other is not, is that right? Any way, this fix will be in the next preview release.

Swmc is finding that you have two channels that are 4.1, one of them works the other doesn't (the one that doesn't is likely due to the non-existent tuner in your setup that we talked about before). Somewhere along the way you renumbered channel 4.0 to 4.1 inside of wmc, if you set it back to 4.0 I think you'll be okay.

I didn't renumbered anything. WMC seems to always map correctly things. I'm only involved on choosing which channel I enable on each tuner depending if I think the reception is good enough.

I'm going by this:

Code:
2016/01/29 14:31:43.547 LogChannelDetail> 3: MergedChannel: 4.1 : Drama - 2CC221 = { (-1051 : Drama - 199C) + [ ] }, ServiceType: Unknown
2016/01/29 14:31:43.547 LogChannelDetail>     LineUp: (FINAL RTW - US/Boston (Manchester) OTA Antenna)+(Scanned (Digital Antenna (ATSC)))
2016/01/29 14:31:43.547 LogChannelDetail>     IsBlocked: False, IsEncrypted: False, ChannelType: WmisBroadband, ChannelVisibility: Available
2016/01/29 14:31:43.547 LogChannelDetail>     >>> HasUserSpecifiedSubNumber: True, Original: 0, User: 1 <<<
2016/01/29 14:31:43.547 LogChannelDetail>     xDisplayNameNoNumber: Drama, xDisplayNumber: 4.1, xDisplay: Drama/4.1
2016/01/29 14:31:43.547 LogChannelDetail>     Dlna mode not available

Fourth line down, the sub number was changed from 1 to 0, which mean 4.0 became 4.1
I think wmc does this if you move the channel up in the guide order.

The problem persisted for over a year, so I ended up fixing it by resetting that Windows WMC machine, but first I used a third party software (Seans WMC Backup) to backup the recording schedule.
