Are you experiencing delay in all menus, or just when pulling up lists of stuff stored on the NAS? You should SSH into the box and see if something is consuming a large amount of CPU time. Maybe reboot it if you haven't already tried that. It should be noticeably snappier than the Pi.

a wrxtasy - nice to hear from you - well i did not know that i have to use certain sd card - but i will go for one of the ones you mentioned - is there also a certain size that works pefectly or doesn't this matter ?
and are temps around 45° - 55° ok ?

yes i thought about it but first of all they are really expensive here (germany, austria) about 35€ just for the 8Gb and on the other hand my odroid runs permanently and i thought i would only see some advantages against the sd while starting up and not while running libreelec/kodi ...
so first i will try one of the sd-cards wrxtasy suggested and if that still not helps i will think of getting an emmc memory

Next time you she'll into the box, do a dmesg command to see if the kernel is complaining about anything. Also, take a look at the Kodi log file for anything strange. You're absolutely sure you don't have an IP address conflict, right?

Something easy to try, plug in a keyboard to make sure the IR or Bluetooth (whichever you have) isn't to blame.
