Okey, I did the following, every unit was powered off:

1) boot Odroid C2 & TV
2) Start the AVR
3) Went to system settings -> Audio -> "Reset above settings to default".
4) Enabled "Allow passtrough, and enabled all the tickboxes below regarding passthrough. (The reciver supports all formats)

The post said that you should not change anything else, but I changed the Audio output device to "AML-M8AUDIO, HDMI" from "Default(AML-M8AUDIO Analog)" so that it matches the field "Passthrough output device" (you could not change that, it is greyed out)

I then confirmed that the "Sync playback to display" was turned off.

It still looks like the passthrough does not work, I only get stereo sound from the speaker system..

Yesterday I watched another movie, connecting my Macbook Pro straight to the reciver, and it immediately played it with DTS sound...so the reciver seems to be working.

One question, what does the "-Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) transcoding" do? It also says "If your system suports PCM multichannel audio via HDMI, leave this disabled". I had it enabled.
