I have a Raspberry Pi 2 -based OSMC (Kodi 15) system, connected via ethernet to a VU+ Ultimo system (running a couple of years old OpenPLi 3.0) which is my main recording device. Things work rather well, in addition to the usual Kodi things, I can watch recordings and live television from the VU+ on the RasPi which has the kodi-pvr-vuplus PVR add-on installed.
However, there is one troubling feature: when the OSMC synchronizes with the VU+, it causes such high load on it that things like subtitles don't get updated and remote control commands are ignored. This takes about 30 seconds or so, and when it is done, the VU+ will complete any commands queued. Because of this, I've raised the sync time to several hours instead of the default 30 minutes.
Anyone else see stuff like this happening? Or could this just be due to the old software on the VU+?
