Win HOW TO - Set up madVR for Kodi DSPlayer & External Players
edit: never mind, fixed video only being shown in one corner by moving madvr folder to mpc directory and running install.bat again

Is there a solution to Windows scaling for text/apps affecting MPC-HC? Under display settings I have it set to 175% to make everything more readable at 4k, but this also affects MPC-HC and thus scaling is not done to 3840z2160 but something close to 2100x1200

Changing the display settings to 100% again is not feasible as it makes Windows unreadable - is there a way to exclude MPC-HC from this?

To clarify, this number does not scale to 3840x2160

Managed to exclude MPC HC by selecting 'disable dpi scaling on high dpi settings' under the compatibility tab of properties when right clicking the mpc shortcut. Scales to 2160p now.

Hey folks... Got a problem...
Nnedi3 doesnt work with Cuvid. Get always a black screen, but audio is still playing and osd menu is still reacting. Done a clean driver reinstall on the Gtx 1070 under Win 10... Didnt help. Doesnt have this problem with DXVA native and copy back (but higher rendering times) or madVR from JRiver.

Kudos to the people who are still keeping DSPlayer alive.

Even the developer of LAV Filters doesn't recommend using CUVID. Go with copy-back instead. This shouldn't impact rendering times that I know of.

Alright...
Seems like i have issues with exclusive mode under Copy Back...Boost Clocks aren't working, just in windowed...that's the reason for the rendering times...

Time to find the perfect settings for 4K...Big Grin

I've never had to download a subtitle, so I'm not sure. Did you adjust XySubFilter from the DSPlayer settings page?

Is there a way to have Kodi automatically play regular videos like movie trailers with dvdplayer and actual movies with dsplayer/madvr. My Kodi is setup to play trailer/theme automatically when you scroll over movie, but the dsplayer/madvr attempts to play these videos at 24 fps. So I would like for the dvdplayer to handle this job rather than dsplayer.

Try adding http|https to the protocols field of DVDPlayer merits.

The videos I want DVDplayer to handle are stored in each movie folder and are named theme.mp4. Would http/https protocols still apply? Thanks

No, in that case, you would have to name these files with special naming and then tell DVDPlayer to play files with a certain text string in its -File name (e.g. DVD: Movie Name (Year) (DVD)).

How do I create profile rules between 3D and non 3D movies. I like to use SSIM 2D with non 3D movies and SSIM 1D with 3D movies. I also prefer more color saturation with 3D movies. So how do i create the profiles to accomplish this automatically. I tried reading the guide but I'm still not understanding what wording i need to make this happen.
