How do we know if we're on those non compatible drivers or not? Will they just not do HDR at all?

Windows 2004 is fine, latest Nvidia drivers are not. madshi is working on a fix, meanwhile download and install Nvidia's 446.14 driver.

Does any one know if the new RTX-3060-90 will suffer from the same driver problem or maybe a completely new array of problems when it comes to MadVR.  I am evaluating upgrading my 1080Ti to one of these RTX but only if I can still run MadVR properly.

I have a bunch of profiles set up, but I must have something wrong. When I pay a 1080p movie, the 1080p profile is kicking in, but it's also triggering the HDR profile. How can I prevent the HDR profile from triggering, because I'm pretty sure that could cause picture issues. Or will the HDR settings only kick in when I play HDR movies?

The HDR settings will only apply if an HDR movie is played (if HDR metadata is detected and present).

Nvidia have released a new set of drivers that fixes the issue, regardless of GPU.

Ah, gotcha. So I'm good when playing a 1080p movie, and the HDR profile is bold? It won't mess with my colors? What causes the HDR profile to turn on with a 1080p movie?

The HDR profile is always active; madVR has to choose something for that section of the control panel. However, the hdr profile is only actually used when an HDR video is played.

Awesome. Thank you!  Now, if I could only get my hand on one of them...  Big Grin

Is there any big difference between NGU Standart high and NGU Sharp high+Soften edges 1?
Reply
No, not really. NGU Sharp + soften edges should still be slightly sharper. But you probably wouldn't notice the difference.

Oh, I see. Thank you for the reply.

I had to recently reload my HTPC I was running this on and now whenever I stop an HDR movie all the menus and GUI stay really dark.  If I tab out to Windows desktop its normal again, if I tab back in its back to dark.  Can't seem to find anything to get it back to normal unless I restart Kodi. I backed up my whole Kodi folder in appdata and copied it back after installing from the kodi dsplayer.exe so I don't think my settings have changed.  Any idea what causes this?
