Available through the official Kodi repository!
This marks the very final release of Rapier 10 for Kodi 17.
From now on no more updates or bugfixes will be done for this version.
If you haven't done so already, I strongly encourage you to update to Kodi 18 Leia or Kodi 19 Matrix!
INSTALLING
To install this skin for Kodi 17 Krypton, you must do so from the Add-on Manager within Kodi:
- Navigate to Settings

- Install from repository

NEW FEATURES IN RAPIER 10.x:
HOME SCREEN
- Home screen Programs category has been changed to Add-ons category including new submenus and widgets. Screenshot.
- A new Radio home screen category has been added with full customization in the skin settings (category select action, icon, backgrounds, widgets, submenus etc.). Screenshot
- A recordings widget has been added to home screen TV / Radio category. Press right when the TV / Radio channels widget is focused.
- Submenus for the home screen Weather category has been added. They are fully customizable in the skin settings. Screenshot
- A Favourites widget for home screen General category has been added. This can be disabled in the skin settings. Screenshot
If the weather category is disabled, the weather widget is displayed for the general category instead.
- 2 widgets has been added to the home screen Videos category: Categories / Media Sources. Screenshot
- Added possibility to completely reorder the home screen categories. Click here for screenshots.
Go to Skin Settings > Home > Category Menu > Reorder Categories.
Category 1 will be the startup category, when Kodi is launched.
Remember to use all your categories, both regular and custom categories, or some might be hidden.
You can always reset all your changes using the "Reset" button.
- A skin setting has been added to completely use custom widgets (top and bottom) when creating custom categories (requires script.skinshortcuts). Screenshot
- If no movie, tv show or music library content is available, these 3 home screen categories will go to sources.
Default for these categories is now to always be visible.
They can still be disabled using the skin settings.
- The custom widgets "New DVD's" / "Upcoming DVD's" has been replaced with "Top rated movies " / "Top rated tv shows". Screenshot
This is due to script.extendedinfo not supporting RottenTomatoes API anymore.
- Replaced home screen Movies category submenu "Studios" with "Sets".
NEW WINDOWS AND DIALOGS
- The home screen Add-ons category will now open a completely new add-ons window. Click here for screenshots.
This is very useful for a quick overview of your add-ons, organizing them or to just have video, audio, program and picture in the same window.
The top options menu bar contains a lot of useful features for handling add-ons.
- An information window for single movies part of a movie set has been added. Screenshot.
When focusing a single movie part of a movie set, use the context menu to open the window.
- A game controllers dialog has been added. Screenshot
- A Player Process Information dialog has been added to the fullscreen video window.
This can be accessed pressing "O" or pressing the OSD Information button and "Technical information".
PVR information is available in that dialog as well. Click here for screenshots.
- A technical information dialog has been added during fullscreen music playback. Screenshot.
Press the "Information" button.
VIEWS
- The fanart View Option setting now follows the library type: movies, tv shows, music, add-ons etc.
This means you might have to enable or disable this setting again.
- Added Extended List View for seasons. Click here for screenshots.
This view type makes it much easier to navigate your tv show seasons.

- List Info 2 View has been added for tv show seasons. Click here for screenshots.

Go to the View Options to enable this style.
- Wrap Info View has been added for tv shows.
- Added cast list in movies / sets / tv shows Wrap Info View (needs enabling in the view options). Screenshot
This will only work when using the Normal view style.
- A "Get More..." button has been added to the menubar in all add-on windows to get more add-ons of the specific content type.
- List Info / List Info 2 / Thumbs Info Views has been added for video content. Click here for screenshots.
This is useful when using the Youtube add-on.
- Several fixes and improvements for views.
- 4K watched and unwatched library overlays has been added.
INFORMATION WINDOWS
- A "Seasons" list has been added to the tv show and season information window. Click here for screenshots.
This list will be populated by all local seasons of the selected tv show. Clicking a season will go to the seasons window.
Press the Extra Info menu and the Seasons button.
- A "Next Up Episodes" list has been added to the tv show information window (big thanks to jurialmunkey). Click here for screenshots.
This list will be populated by the next unwatched episodes of the selected tv show. If all episodes are watched, the least watched episodes will display.
Press the Extra Info menu and the Next Up Episodes button.
- Song Information Window is now a fullscreen window with additional infolabels and menubar.
Comment / Contributors toggle button has been added (if the info is available).
- Add-on Information window has been changed and updated.
Changelog button has been replaced by Description/What's New/Screenshots toggle button. What's New is like a changelog for that specific add-on version. Screenshots for the add-on are displayed and can be clicked for fullscreen viewing. Screenshot.
Disclaimer label has been moved to the bottom.

This is useful when running an add-on with video content.
- End time has been added to the video information window.

FULLSCREEN MUSIC AND VIDEO PLAYBACK
- One very cool new feature is video lyrics during fullscreen music playback (big thanks to manfeed and BigNoid). Click here for a video demo.
Enable this in Skin Settings > Media > Fullscreen music > Enable video lyrics.
- A "Debug information" button has been added to fullscreen video OSD. Screenshot.
Click this button to display debug information during fullscreen video playback.
- A "Set user rating" button has been added in fullscreen music OSD.
- A Colour Management Button (CMS) for 3dLUT support has been added to the fullscreen video OSD. Screenshot
- Support has been added for 0.8X - 1.5X play speed with audio when playing fullscreen video. Press Up / Down when the Play button is focused.
For this to be possible, you have to enable System > Player > Videos > Sync playback to display.
- When watching fullscreen video, entering a numeric value and pressing enter, will take to that specific time in the video. The entered value can be displayed two ways:
Go to this skin setting: Skin Settings > Media > Fullscreen video > Show "Paused" in fullscreen video
If enabled, entering a value will dimm the screen and display it center screen using the same font as the Paused label. Screenshot.
If disabled, entering a value will display white digits on a black background top screen.
PVR
- PVR Channel Information and Recording Information windows are now fullscreen. Screenshot.
- Live TV / Radio Timer Rules button has been added to PVR windows menubar.
- Live TV Timer Rules submenu button has been added to the home screen Live TV category.
- Live TV / Radio Timer Rules presets has been added to the presets dialog (used when creating custom categories and submenus).
- A "Hide Disabled Timers" button has been added to the menubar in Live TV / Radio Timers and Timer Rules windows.
- New button added in the PVR information window: "Add Timer".

Press the "Full guide" button in the OSD PVR guide dialog to open a new dialog with either Timeline, Now, Next or Channel info. This can be changed with the bottom button.
- When playing fullscreen music or radio, the OSD button for RDS information has been moved to the information dialog.

SKIN SETTINGS
- A new section has been added to the skin settings: "Views". Screenshot.
This section is especially useful when using a low powered device. Here you can disable all view types you don't use in all windows and sections of Kodi.
TIP: Disabling every single view type you don't use will significantly speed up load times when entering windows and libraries.
- A new function has been added to Skin Settings > Home > "Change Category Actions". Click here for screenshots.
Here you can change the functions of all main home screen categories - with full support for library nodes.
- Additional items has been added to the presets dialog (used when creating custom categories and submenus).
- A skin setting has been added: Skin Settings > Backgrounds > Widgets > Hide all widget backgrounds
Enabling this setting will hide the backgrounds for all home screen widgets, when they are focused.
- A skin setting is added to show information when fullscreen video is paused.
- A skin setting to disable scrollbar trailer playback has been added.
This setting will disable the playback of trailers when moving right or down from a scrollbar inside the video libraries.
ADD-ONS
- Script.globalsearch will now also show director results.
- The weather add-on weather.openweathermap.extended has been replaced by weather.weatherbit.io
Please install weather.weatherbit.io instead for proper weather support.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Major code cleanup and optimization.
- All star ratings throughout the skin will now use a 1-10 scale.
- Buttons using add-ons will now prompt you to install the add-on if it is missing.
- A "Search Add-ons" button has been added to the search dialog.
