Followup post 2016.4.12, with 600mb kodi video cache (NB, I increased this to 1200mb and have left it there as satisfactory for now).
All bitrates are available. 5000bps loads successfully and immediately buffers for a second or two, 1280x720, 59.940fps 'vq' starts at around 50% and drops after one minute, when buffering happens again. After several minutes 'aq' has dropped to zero and audio is gone. vq hovers between 0-27% and cpu is pinned at 107%. buffering does not recur after one minute.
It should be noted that despite the loss of audio sync the video playback remained watchable - there were no long slomo moments, encoding static, or extended freezes. the playback was quite stuttery, but generally less than one short freeze every five seconds - more than enough to create terrible audio drift, but no more irritating otherwise than watching the feed via browser.
Rather than step through lower bitrates, I increased the video cache setting again to 1200mb and quit and relaunched Kodi, accessing the live feed at 5000bps again.
Similar results at 5000bps even with 1200mb cache.
Stepping down to 3500bps, 1280x720 plays smoothly with no interruptions until 2:24. cpu at 14%, vq at 50-90%, cpu pins for a second as vq hits 10% but playback recovers and appears to stabilize.
I suppose the needed cache size can be calculated based on bitrate; at 5000bps the overlay reporting fluctuates between 5 and 3 Mbps, and at 3500 it fluctuates between 3.5 Mbps and 3.07.
So at 3500bps 60 seconds of cache is roughly 210mb and at 5000 it's roughly 300mb - so if I need more than five minutes of buffer at 5000bps 1200mb is insufficient but it appears to be for 3500bps. Just speculation, of course and ymmv. But very clearly, increasing the video cache resolves most of my playback issues.
Thanks again, and hope this helps!

I have gone through multiple pages and can't figure this out.
I have downloaded eracknaphobia's repo V. 1.0.0 from page 1 of this thread. I installed it to a USB and installed from .zip on Kodi.
Then I installed MLB.TV from eracknaphobia;s repo.
I go into MLB.TV and i need to enter today's date in order to see today's games.
Once i have done that, I am able to see all of Today's games however none of the links work.
I am able to watch yesterdays condensed games but am not able to watch todays MLB games.
What am I missing? an update? I am relatively new to Kodi and android boxes so any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone else noticed, that during the typical centerfield camera shots of the pitcher and batter, light-skinned batters' faces often look almost completely blurred?
Maybe I never sat close enough before to notice, but I don't remember this while watching on tv.
