There is some other problem with the delay in queuing songs, but no idea why it should get a mention here.

Because of previous posts in this same thread explaining :

Besides, displaying all the songs isn't slow, its starting playback of one of them that is.

this can take a long time to populate (and initial playback of a selected song can be very slow).

And that if you read some previous other comments in other thread you'll see the same kind of remarks.

The slowness of displaying the collection could be faster of course but it won't be a 10x factor that can be gained by fixing the playing problem that is the main problem because now user have to wait long for display and even longer for playing.
