I personally believe it fixes a lot more than that.
Firstly they have released a new version every month or 2. Why suddenly release a new one for minor changes after 2 days.
Secondly. 1.0.5 was completely broken for me. Movies would not play correctly from my nas. I had to reinstall 1.0.3 and all was fine again. I then tried 1.0.6 and all fine. Just to make sure I then installed 1.0.5 again and it was broken. Movies pausing and stuttering and generally lagging out like crazy.
I think they broke the networking side of thins and did a hot fix without making themselves look bad by detailing what they actually did.
