I am jealous of your 8x 5TB HDD's though ... even if you choose SHR2, that's a hefty 30TB of storage, and w/SHR1, 35TB!
It's taking 1 hour to do 1% of Parity Verification, at that rate I think it is going to take 100hours/4 days
to finish. 4 years without any issue, good to know, hope it last that long, thinking of keeping this server for a long time...
No, I am starting off with 3/5TB 3/3TB and 2/2TB wish I had that much money to get 8/5TB
