Maybe this fixes the MVC MKV w/TrueHD/ATMOS issue w/DN2820FYKH NUC after FF/RW or chapter skip you mentioned @Statikk, and @ArieS confirmed. After you test, please let us know.

Build Info: Kodi MVC WIP 20160512

Debug Logs:
Everest MVC MKV (created with MakeMKV) http://xbmclogs.com/pwejnrriq
Finding Nemo MVC MKV (created with MakeMKV) http://xbmclogs.com/p3xiwhe3s

Ok I was able to do a quick test of the same movies and add some new logs. It definitely seems like the problem is less severe. I have a much better chance of successfully skipping a chapter now. When chapter skipping fails it seems like it is much less likely that CPU spikes to 100%. Last time it seemed to spike everytime.

If CPU usage does not spike to 100% then you can usually skip to the next chapter. Going back to the previous chapter (that failed when skipping forward to it) always fails though. Sometimes I will skip through a whole movie and there will be a handful of chapters that always fail everytime I skip forward/backward to them. Then I stop the movie and restart it and I am able to skip to those chapters every time but a new handful of other chapters will fail.

If CPU does spike to 100% then all attempts to chapter skip after that will fail and CPU will stay at 100% until I stop the movie.

In Nemo after a chapter skip I noticed that sync was off and I tried to seek forward a little to adjust. That also failed.

Thanks for working on this afedchin and feel free to message me if you would like me to try anything in proticular.

Build Info: Kodi MVC WIP 20160505

Hardware: Intel NUC DN2820FYKH with Intel Celeron N2830 CPU, Windows 10 Professional 64bit, Intel® HD Graphics driver-version 10.18.10.4338

Debug Logs:
Everest MVC MKV (created with MakeMKV) http://xbmclogs.com/peqvzgcof
Finding Nemo MVC MKV (created with MakeMKV) http://xbmclogs.com/pfwepqi3s

Description: When skipping in MVC MKV files with TrueHD/ATMOS sound about about 85% of the time CPU usage increases to 100% and remains there while video slows to a halt.

Screenshots: Screenshots taken during video playback were blank. If helpful I can snap a pic/video with my phone.

How to reproduce: Play an MVC MKV file with TrueHD/ATMOS sound and chapter skip.

Finding Nemo seems to have slightly better chances of a successful chapter skip for whatever reason. There seems to be no problem with DTS-MA. I have tried disabling bitstreaming of TrueHD.

An ISO of the same movie plays fine but when converted into MVC MKV I'm not able to FF/RW or chapter skip without losing audio> video slows> video freezes. When doing a chapter skip the video actually progresses to the new chapter but the play timer starts back at 0:00> audio loss> slow video> video freeze. I have tested quite a few movies now (Everest, Finding Nemo, Minions, In the Heart of the Sea) and have also tried turning off TrueHD Capable Receiver. I also tried switching off 3D while playing which seemed to have no effect.

Probably why I didn't see the issue the other day when I tested, since my CPU is a little beefier (i5-4250U). Nice to see it's gotten a little better.

I'll be posting a full review of P2 tomorrow, but I'm amazed this little guy performs so well for Kodi use, maybe just a notch below Z8300, which is a bit faster. But, if you don't need HD audio bitstreaming, get either an Intel Intel Z3735F or Z8300, whichever you get a better deal on. Only thing that could tip the scale... a USB Ethernet adapter or hub is a must, and that will set you back between $8-20 (whether 10/100 or gigabit).

Thanks,

about which parameter you mean "Only thing that could tip the scale" ?
and why Lenovo stick 300 has problem with lip sync , how can I will fix that like you have on P2 ?
I almost buy the intel 2n with Z8300 , but you say that Lenovo should not make problem .
I have two Lenovo pieces with the sale ... and the intel 2n not yet . what you suggest me to do ?
the usb 2 that have on Lenovo stick 300 has only transfer 480 mbps , right ? ( not 1 gig)

I would be happy if you can provide me links to ; Kodi version from kodi.com and Kodi MVC BUILD that I save them when the Lenovo come I will install that .

Thanks in advance ...

and which item is the best for 3D MVC with no sound lip-sync :

Lenovo stick 300 :

or

Intel 2nd Generation Compute Stick with Intel Atom x5 Processor and Windows 10 BOXSTK1AW32SC:

Thanks in advance.

If you have the stick plugged into your AVR, you want it to be wasapi "Denon AVR"

also both devices you keep mentioning DO NOT SUPPORT HD AUDIO.. so do not enable Passthrough options for TrueHD or DTS-HD unless you like no sound with your movies.

Seems like a not so good player choice considering the AVR you have.. but thats just my personal opinion, somthing able to bitstream HD/Immersive Audio would have been something more suited to your AVR.

you right , but I haven't any Idea which device will do best Kodi+ Kodi 3D MVC Build + HD bitstreaming ATMOS/DTS-X/HD-DTS/DOLBY HD .
I would very happy if you can suggest me one recommended that I can add to my setup : Denon 1200 + LG 4k 3d UF850

Thanks.

Also in the just right (and slighly higher) corner, try used for these, from this seller on eBay, who accepts offers significantly below his BIN prices:
- D34010WYK
- D54250WYK

Got my DN2820FYKH from that guy, then eBay'd it to get D34010WYK from same guy.

Thanks,
I enter the seller link and from where I need to search : "D34010WYK" that I find the item that he sell it ? and I offer him price on Private message or via ebay system offer? ( how much money you recommended to offer about this item ? )

and about P2 , which kodi version you have used ? and I don't find link to MAY 5 MVC BUILD .

Thanks.

Type in a offer about 30% lower than his BIN asking price, and that seller has it set-up so it will auto-notify you whether it's accepted or not ... keep going $5-10 higher until your offer is auto-accepted Smile!
