If anyone has a chance would you mind testing a MVC MKV with True HD audio and see if you can chapter skip/seek?
I wonder if the patch applied to ffmpeg will ever make its way into the main ffmpeg build. In that case I'm guessing we could see MVC make the Kodi mainline? It's such a shame that a feature like this has to remain a fork. I'm so glad that @afedchin had some time to do an update though!
