Win Intel HTPCs/NUCs & Kodi-native 3D MVC Playback
Thank you for newer build. Is there a changelog?
Then, unfortunately I don't have "November 17" release setup, and seem it was deleted from test build directory. Is there any mirror I can use? Just in case I have to rollback.

EDIT: Here for old versions: http://ftp.igh.cnrs.fr/pub/xbmc/test-builds/win32/
Still searching for changelog.

I have just installed this latest build (dated 20161208) and so far everything works fine - I have only tested 3D .ISO files (not 3D MKV files) yet, and they seem to play back fine without incident. Interestingly this build is using KODI 17.0 BETA 7. I will keep on testing and report any new problems that I may find. Thanks for the update.

surface pro 4 M3 Playback of 3D iso is only (top/ bottom) or (Side by Side) from a full-frame packed 1080p movie. There doesn't seem to be an option for "hardware". So, I imagine I'm only getting a 720p image

Check your Intel settings, change the refresh rate to 60hz. I had the same issue on a Windows 10 NUC, changing the refresh rate from 29 to 60 in the Intel settings fixed my issue and the hardware option appeared.

Ahh, yes, Hardware mode came back. Intel control panel doesn't come with Surface pro. But I was able to switch to 60hz via windows.
However, FULL 3D iso doesn't playback well. I'm sure it's just a setting, but not sure which one. Image is very warbly... Here's what it looks like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0v4a4CQbVg

The problem with Kodi 17 is the passthrough audio right? Isn't the reason why i had to install SPMC on my shield because the Kodi 17 from the play store didn't work with everything, it was missing Atmos etc... I can't exactly remember what the issues were now as this was back at the begining of the year, but i had to install SPMC for these issues with the general Kodi release!!!

Are you now saying that i should switch from SPMC to the latest Kodi from the playstore on my shield, and then i will have both the shield and windows 10 device in sync again? More importantly, i won't be missing anything from the SPMC build on my Shield with the Kodi install?

Thanks

It was Kodi 16 with the issues, but I'm not the best suited to highlight all the differences between SPMC and the Kodi 17 beta. They're both great, I just prefer Kodi 17 at this moment. I haven't have a problem with 17 and passthrough audio (thanks @fritsch - http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=289735), so you can try it out and see what you think. You can have both SPMC and Kodi on your Shield (and I do).

okay thank you, I'm pretty sure that the difference between Kodi and SPMC was the passthrough audio. If this has been fixed with the latest Kodi release then i will try to install that, copy my user data folder across to it, and start using that, so that it will also be compatible with my windows 10 3d MVC build.

The problem though is that my database will be out of date by 8 months as SPMC was only used in those past months. I do have a trakt.tv account that marks things as watched etc,, so that might help somewhat but a lot of the database will need work to get it up to scratch. As i have a huge number of files.

I can't install an add-on from zip file, when I click on the button there is no action... Is it a known issue ?
Edit : It works when I enter into add-on menu

Hi,

i have a little problem. i use a epson projector 6040ub. in kodi settings i use 1920x1080p. when i set refreshrate under 50Hz, then kodi give me an 4K-output.
When refreshrate is 50Hz or more then kodi still at 1080p. But when i play a video (1080p,24p) then kodi switch automatic to 4K.
Is there any upscaling option in kodi? Thanks!

It's an issue of Intel driver. It forces 4K resolution in some cases.

@afedchin

Are you able to look into the new Intel Hardware ( Apollo and Kaby Lake) ?
