With Kodi, even w/o HDR, the benefit of HDMI 2.0 is 4K@60 (vs. @30) and 10-bit (vs. 8-bit).
Can't you use both the 1.4 (for 3D) and 2.0 (for 4K) ports via different inputs on your AVR to TV/projector?
